Hey Parents at Taekwondo University we believe that when wanting to achieve a goal, you must first start with a commitment. This is something that we teach our students to help move them towards a path to success. Here is one for the first principle of Taekwondo Universities Live Your Potential Program. Our students not only memorize the principle, but all develop an understanding of the principle so that they can implement it into their lives.
“The Live Your Potential Thought Principle
From this day forward, I will live my potential.
I can be what I decide to be.
I will do what is necessary to be what I decide to be.
I will get what I deserve.”
I deserve to become my best, so from this day forward, I will live my potential.
To fully understand the Live Your Potential thought principle, let’s break it down.
“From this day forward, I will live my potential.”
No more procrastination. Do not start tomorrow. Start today, and make a commitment to yourself that from this day forward, you will live your potential.
“I can be what I decide to be.” When I was growing up, dreamers would say, “The sky’s the limit.” NASA even proved that those dreamers were limiting their view. You can be what you decide to be. No one else is pulling the strings. No one is preventing you from accomplishing your goals. You are totally responsible for your own thoughts, so think big.
“I will do what is necessary to be what I decide to be.” This is the proactive approach to following your dreams. Since they are your dreams, take full responsibility to do whatever is necessary to accomplish your dreams and goals.
“I will get what I deserve.” Stating this eliminates you from blaming others for your shortcomings, because when you allow your mind to blame others, then you do not look inside to fix your faults.
“I deserve to become my best, so from this day forward, I will live my potential.” Enough said.”
